Things are unstable too, it's the house of extremes so things in the home may have been extremes one day until the next or drama filled. This house also holds things that are hard to control anger, rage and explosive, or compulsive situations.
So the one thing that a Scorpio Moon fears is not feeling anything. They fear the mundane, stagnancy and shallowness. They want to be understood and loved for who they are. It's not easy to be light and fluffy after what they have been through and seen. They have a hard time talking about things that are shallow, they prefer depth. They seek the truth. The thing that scares them the most is a life without love and passion, and sex or living a meaningless existence without purpose and meaning.
They need a love that they can trust and that is not afraid to bare it all. They long for depth, and love and for someone to be like them. Someone trustworthy, reliable and dedicated, that won't betray them. They don't trust people easily because that have seen that people aren't trustworthy. People turn on each other to save themselves, something a Scorpio Moon would never do unless you did it to them or someone they love first. They can retaliate but usually for all the right reasons, to protect and defend.
Moon in Scorpio has dealt with and seen things that many would fall into a pit over. They have dealt with betrayal, and stranger than fiction situations, that left them boggled, they lacked loyalty and trust.
They long for trust but they are wary of all. If they let you in, they knew right away whether or not they would. They are very perceptive they see beyond what others see. They feel your energy, they know who you are and what type of person you are. This can be intimidating for those that have something to hide. You feel like they can see your soul, which it seems they can. They can be too intense for those that like to keep things light. If you happen to friend a Scorpio Moon, your lucky. If they let you in, then you are trustworthy. However, what they truly seek is someone that can free them from the hurt and betrayal in which they have lived. They want someone who can give them a passionate calm, that comes through being truly desired and feeling safe as a result. They want to see the beauty in all things but they fear that something will go wrong, and worry about what lies beneath, or behind. They can be worrisome, they are deep thinkers and analyzers. They will survey you. They need connection a soul connection. They want to be reborn, they need physical touch. Love is mostly superficial in their eyes, they want an undying love. You love me now but what about later? Will you love me through it all?
They may have had issues with the mother early on being controlling, smothering or obsessive perhaps even draining emotionally or cold and hard. In some cases mentally unstable, demanding or physically abusive but there was something about the mother, that left the child feeling confused, unsafe and in some cases very angry. There are always two sides to every aspect or placement in Astrology. The negative side of the under-evolved Scorpio Moon may have issues with control and vindictiveness, possessiveness. Some do have a skewed radar, that leads to paranoia or intense fears, and issues with anger and explosiveness. Some can be too intense that they tend to scare people away.
