Pluto in Greek mythology was the God of the underworld, he wore an invisible helmet and could go undetected. He is the detective, but he is much more than this. I guess you can say, the God Of Hell, or the Devil. Interestingly enough he does tempt us, and draw out our carnal passions, along with tempting us with wealth and fame through our Egos and Pride. However, before we write him off as a evil we must consider him a necessary one and to be quite frank he is very necessary. This is not for his temptations although those are quite transformational and other times quite brutal and painful. He is our inner demons, our lust, or desire nature but also our fear. Pluto needs to win,
Being the ruler of the Underworld gets you privy insights into the darker side of life, Death, but also and a Son of Saturn. In mythology, he is well known for his kidnapping of Persephone, the daughter of Demeter or Ceres.

Before we discuss more about the Mythology, I would also like to touch on the planet itself and it's composition. Pluto is an icy planet it's the last planet out from Neptune. It's dark and mysterious, the furthest planet from the Sun in our solar system. With more recent discoveries Pluto is thought to be icy on the outside but deep within is a hot core that produces inner icy eruptions or volcanoes. This is in Astrology representative of suppressed emotions behind a cool exterior. These emotions need the release but often come out explosively or compulsively due to repression. It’s never good to suppress it is bound to erupt and usually quite badly. Pluto is a powerful energy, when Pluto was discovered so was Plutonium. Pluto is so powerful because of this repressed and explosive energy, for that is precisely what creates his powerful energy. Much like a lid on a pot of boiling water eventually needs to release its pressure. This also creates an intense aura or magnetic field, that people nearby can feel it's presence and it often instigates fear. Pluto is about willpower and personal power and often seeks to obtain these through his all or nothing approach or through the sheer force of his explosive nature. This stems from his fear of not being able to control his own desires and fear of loss. The story of the kidnapping of Persephone is a slight example of this, rather than winning her love for being himself he chooses to trick her because of his pride and fear of rejection combined with his strong desire nature. Pluto also known as Hades, being the ruler of all that's dead, should understand himself more about loss and endings as it's his area dealing with those who passed on would clearly show one that nothing forever and nothing can be controlled forever. When Pluto runs his hot blood through our veins we see things from his perspective. The lense of Pluto is dark, there are shadows and secret hidden agendas all around. Much like the Scorpion, that lies low in the depths where it's quiet and the world of feeling and vibration takes over. Scorpions have a 6th sense, they feel vibrations his magnetism, or Pluto and a Son of Saturn. He was in charge of judging the souls that were sent there. Pluto is a accomplice to Saturn in helping him carry the universal law. His larger role in the plan is to uncover hidden secrets and expose people, he also creates temptations to test our willpower, he teaches us about personal will and boundaries. While Neptune will blur our boundaries and cause us feelings of great sensitivity, and a sacrificial approach to love. Pluto will teach us what happens we don't set proper boundaries and when we are willing to anything for another person the trouble we can find you in. Pluto brings about situations in our life that will test our will, challenge us and discover hidden parts of yourself. He will also reflect the proverbial mirror at all of our darkness and use what we misused against us. He is labeled as the bad guy, you know the sexy vampire type but he plays a very important role in the universal need for balance. Pluto is not the boy next door, he has seen a lot of things and no one knows better where to look than him. He tempts us, prods us, and makes us confess our deepest desires. He is powerful because he is wise and he seeks out truths or scandal. He is the grim reaper when the day comes. He shows us the law of Karma in it's most brutal way. That Mercy is available to those that applied Mercy Pluto can be referred to as the devil since he represents all things that are temptations, is the ruler of the 8th house where out of sight or hidden things lay low it's a dark and mysterious house that holds many secrets. It's the house of the Taboo or wrongly accused. It's our addictions, sex scandals, and mischievous behaviors. Pluto is the investigator, he seeks out trouble and wants to expose it. What Pluto and the 8th house really represent are our shadow, the things we deny, suppress or our blind spots in whare we do not use our power or misuse it. It also shows us what we're afraid of by exposing you to it to overcome and face it as that is the only way with Pluto is through.
