The 7th house represents our opposite well technically the Opposite of our Ascendant or from our Sun Sign. This is a person that has many of the qualities that we admire and may lack ourselves. These differences if appreciated rather than fought over can help both people learn a great deal and become better and more rounded people.
As always there are many factors to consider in each of the natal charts that will alter each interpretation for the most accurate analysis, please visit my reports page or schedule a phone consultation.

Yes, opposites attract, but they can repel over time if you both try to change each other or choose to fight rather than get along and be supportive.

The truth is you both have qualities and ways of doing things that can be beneficial to each of you. You can offer each other balance by acquiring more of each other's ways of doing things. If you can work through your differences then you can do great things together and will be much stronger together.

The 7th house is the house of equal partnership, and commitment both romantically and professionally and is known as the house of Marriage but also open enemies.

Each house has it's positive and negative, the negative part of any close relationship is that when things don't work out they can turn bad, and why this house also holds our open enemies.  Open enemies are often people that we trusted or were once close to us and later this is true for ex-friends, ex-lovers, and ex-business partners.

As always there are many factors to take into account for the most accurate interpretation.

If Your Sun is in your Partners 7th house

You and your Partner have qualities in which you both admire in another. You both have very different ways of doing things and qualities that one or the other lacks and may admire the other because you feel they have what you need, which they likely do. You make a great team and together you can accomplish a lot when cooperative.

This is a strongly supportive placement. You both will respect and even admire each other. If this is a love relationship then there will be a very strong attraction and the potential for Marriage if other aspects allow.

You will both feel more confident as a result of your relationship and will also enjoy socializing and networking together. This is an excellent position for both love or business partnership.

If your Moon is in your Partners 7th house

There is a sense of responsibility and sincere care for one another. The Moon person is very supportive of the house person, and this indicates a tremendous compatibility and comfort in your partnership. You both will relish sharing, working together or simply being together.

The Moon person will be sensitive and intuitive to the house person's needs and the house person will feel supported and cared for by the Moon person.  This is a great position for a marriage or business partnership.

If Your Mercury is in your Partners 7th house

You are able to help your partner communicate openly about relationship matters. You stimulate each other by being in agreement with what it takes to have a long-term commitment and relationship. Local traveling around town together brings you great pleasure. You will both enjoy communicating with each other about similar subjects and are probably a lot alike in terms of how you think. Your partner might look to you for solutions to business problems. Your partner is apt to respect your intellect and look to you for answers. You are very similar and possess a similar outlook in general.

If your Venus is in your Partners 7th house

This placement adds a warmth of consideration to your partnership. You will both be diplomatic and sensitive to each other's needs. The Venus person might add a bit of a glamour to the house person's life. The house person might find the Venus person very attractive but this is not only for marriage or romantic relationships but for all relationships. If this is a romantic relationship than this is a very positive place for Venus to have a long-term commitment but also for business or any other close friendship. The Venus person might also help the house person develop a wider social network and can help the house person develop the talents and consideration it takes to develop solid business relationships. The house person certainly will find the Venus person beautiful or at least attractive in some way. There will be much luck together in business or marriage.

If your Mars is in your Partners 7th house

The Mars person can help the house person become more assertive or might have to learn to in order to deal with the Mars person. Mars is pure energy and can often be brash or forceful. It's possible the house person may find the Mars person to aggressive, or pushy. However, this does not need to be the case, for some can appreciate a more direct or active partner. It would be important for the Mars person to recognize if they are being too aggressive or push with the house person in order to avoid constant combat or the house person feeling run over. There may be a strong urge on behalf of the Mars person to form some sort of partnership with the house person. This can be a spicy interaction that can be helpful if the house person needs to sharpen their boundary skills or needs a push to get going. Negatively, this can point to many disagreements in the way one or both of you view partnerships or your ability to give and take equally whether it be conversational wise or in your general outlooks. In a romantic relationship, this can point to a feisty couple, and the result is how both people handle the energy which can be both positive and negative.

If your Jupiter is in your Partners 7th house

This is an excellent position for Jupiter, it points to a relationship that is full of positivity, optimism, and luck. You will both encourage and support each other and will find many benefits as a result of your relationship together. If this is a romantic relationship than Marriage in very likely of course if there are other aspects to support this. You have an expansive effect on each other and can do great things together as a result. You will be ethical with each other which also points to a good business partner.

Ideal position for a long-term marriage, business partnership or best friends. The expansiveness never seems to end and you are both able to expand and grow abundantly together.

If your Saturn in your Partners 7th house

Your relationship with your partner may consist of many burdens, trials, and tests. It may be difficult for you to form your relationship when things tend to pop- up out of nowhere preventing it. This is not always the case and the truth is it works out in a multitude of ways. Saturn is serious, and about responsibility so this can sometimes point to an older partner or mature relationship. Saturn is also restrictions and hard work so the relationship might require a certain amount of responsibility or burden in some way. The Saturn person can help the house person learn about partnerships, marriage, and relationships in general. However, it's also possible that the Saturn person can end up being a burden to the house person. However, Saturn wants to help the house person grow up is what is likely to happen.

If a relationship is formed there tends to be increased responsibility on the house person or in some cases for the Saturn person.

It's also possible that instead, the Saturn person puts up some sort of resistance to the relationship.

On another note, the Saturn person can help the house person learn to be more responsible and conscientious. The Saturn person may require a lot from the house person in order to be in a relationship together and may even be a burden.

If there is a lot of love, and the house person is mature enough to handle responsibility, and both people are willing to work hard for the relationship, then a long, enduring, committed relationship or marriage is possible. The relationship will be tested and you will both grow tremendously as a result.

If your Uranus in your Partners 7th house

The Uranus person may have shocking ideas as to how a relationship should be. It's also possible that the meeting was sudden and out of nowhere. It's also likely that if this is a romantic relationship that the two of you feel in love quickly and suddenly. There was likely an electric and immediate attraction to one another. This position is invigorating stimulating and exciting but suited for couples that are very open-minded and progressive in matters of the heart.

The Uranus person will stimulate, provoke and even shock the house person which can ignite strong passions most certainly keeping things interesting. However, if the house person is more traditional or close-minded the house person can find the Uranus person out of their mind, or they can find difficulty relating for the two will likely push their own agendas/beliefs on each other. This can be invigorating or frustrating much would depend on the individual charts.

If this is a love relationship then the Independence, friendship, twists, turns, ups, and downs, will keep you both enthralled with each other as long as you both are open to exploring new ways of doing things and aren't rigid in your beliefs.

However, it's also possible that the Uranus person will require a lot of freedom in the relationship, or might be a bit too unpredictable.

Neptune in your Partners 7th house

This can be a highly romantic relationship in which you both feel like you're the characters in one of the most romantic love novels ever written.
The truth is one or both of you are likely to idealize each other. This is not a problem per-say but if either one of you is dishonest than this is when the divine discontent comes in when you find out you have been betrayed and yet realize later than it was a result of you never asking real questions of each other for the sake of always avoiding confrontation. Glossing over real issues is problematic in the long run, and why Neptune is always about self-delusion. Meaning we saw it but didn't take it seriously or avoided it only to have it haunt us later. Neptune isn't bad and rarely is it ever malicious, however, he can cause some of the greatest disappointments and pain around if you do not recognize the tendency to idealize each other. When you try to make everything appear like a fairy tale never a problem in the world or you gloss over real issues, then one or both of you can end up running, hiding or lying to each other in order to keep the fantasy of everything is perfect at all times. It's important, to be honest, and open to discussing real-life issues.

Positively it most certainly can bring about your dream come true, the soulmate you have longed for all your life. Just be sure not to have blind faith in each other and to realize that You can easily get swept away. You both may tend to idealize each other, but there is nothing wrong with that! After-all idealization is the stuff that soul mates and dream lovers are made of. It also may be that you are both very forgiving of each other, or that one or both of you require a sacrifice or there is an imbalance in the relationship where one gives more than the other, or one is willing to go above and beyond for the other. This is not a problem as long as both people are in each other's best interest.

Advice: Be sure, to be honest with each other and do not avoid addressing real issues.

Pluto in your Partners 7th house

This placement can be powerfully sexy or deeply frustrating and it all depends on how you both respond to being dominated or controlled. You either love the Pluto person or find them obnoxiously bossy and controlling. This also depends on how the Pluto person is acquainted with their own Pluto and if they tend to have difficult Pluto aspects in their natal chart.  If there is mutual attraction than this can be one very sexy partnership but not without its fair share of challenges but this all depends on how flexible the Pluto person is and if the house person prefers a more dominant and even bossy personality.

If the Pluto person is too forceful, bossy or manipulative with the house person then things might take a sharp left and the relationship can turn out to be drama and all about power struggles.

However, if the Pluto person is mature, and not into power trips, domination, and game-play, and allows the house person to have their own personality and likes and dislikes then this relationship can work out positively. The Pluto person can help the house person learn more about relationships and even transform their idea of them and how they should be. The house person will find the Pluto person mysterious, sexy and in control.

The house person may appreciate the Pluto's way in fearlessly going after what they want. The Pluto person may become obsessed with the house person again this depends on how mature the individual is and whether or not they have this tendency in their natal chart.

If a relationship is formed it will likely be quite powerful and will have the ability to transform the house person in some way. If used positively this placement can add a lot of passion, and the Pluto person can help the house person become more assertive in their desires.

    1. Hi Hazel, there is a lot more to it, but it makes sense you would be obsessed with him. It's probably his Pluto that has you obsessed Pluto does that. It is also true that he appears to be your ultimate other, typically the house person is obsessed with the planet person but the planet person has a lot to bring to the house person. Personally Jupiter in your 7th is a fabulous feel good position! I can't say much more without seeing all the charts, there is a lot involved in attraction and synastry to see if there are any blockers or what he has going on in his chart, but those are mighty nice placements:)

    1. Hi Dear! without looking at both your charts and all the aspects it's really impossible to answer because there are many aspects and placements to consider in both your natal charts the synastry and the composite chart to see the whole picture. But I can tell you this, if you both love each other enough, free will trumps Astrology, and you will get married if it's what you both really want:)

  3. Wow! This seems to bode well. My Sun, Uranus, Pluto, Mercury and MC are all in his 7th house AND his Sun and Moon are both in my 7th house. Plus my true north is conjunct his Sun - if that means anything.

    1. Interesting, because I looked at my most recent ex of 9 years and my Jupiter was in his 7th house AND his Vertex, Venus, Saturn, and Mercury were in my 7th house. Of course, like you said it really depends on the rest of both charts because boy oh boy does your description of his Saturn being in my 7th override everything good that could have been and describes that relationship to a T.
I also see that I was more of the house person in that case, and in this current relationship it seems he is a little more of the house person although his SUN and MOON are in my 7th house. So maybe this one is a little better for me. I sure hope so. lol

    2. Awe. Yes,.Saturn can be quite a doozy, The 7th house is the house of Marriage but also our open enemies, but really because it's about contracts and getting legal, if things go wrong such as a bad partnership or bad divorce these people can turn into our enemy...

It's a sensitive house, if things don't work out in this house, watch out;)

However, I see it as a equal partnership house where both parties see the benefit of being together and they each have something the other feels they desire or need. Opposites attract and then repel, or learn from one another.

The Moon in the 7th is very good, its emotional and committed and will provide you emotional comfort and security in the partnership:) and Yes, all things need to be considered, and why writing about aspects is very difficult, because each aspect or placement can be severely altered in interpretation by other aspects, particulary in the individual natal charts, but we try as Astrologers to give a general idea," should all other aspects allow"

  4. :) Thank you Zahara! I know aspects are just that - one aspect at a time independent of all other aspects and the charts as a whole, but you have done a remarkable job. Thank you. Also, I'm older and wiser [hopefully] and I wouldn't have appreciated this new person if I hadn't gone through the relationship with my ex who is a sweetheart but just wasn't up for emotional commitment with me at least. It was very turbulent! And I didn't let go when I should have, but I finally let him go emotionally so that I could move on, and this new guy "fell into my lap" and vice versa [my Uranus in his 7th house]. Luckily my ex and I did not end up as enemies.
Thank you again for your response and your writing here. I love your site and your insights.

  5. What a difference being experienced in life makes eh? Jeez if only we could have known before all the unnecessary nonsense. But, you know what.?..We wouldn't have listened anyway! uggh..

I completely understand what your saying, being conscious, aware or more mature, what a difference it makes!, Our relationships get much better..." almost magically" Awareness=Magic? ( wink) Not quite, We simply see things from a wiser perception and therefore make better choices and end up in better relationships as a result! Thank you so much for sharing! Wishing you, True Love***

    1. Hi I don't understand your question. I'm also sorry but I am no longer answering aspect by aspect synastry or relationship questions any longer because it requires analysis. There are to many variables to answer accurately because astrology is complex and many factors can alter interpretations and this is why aspect by aspect are not accurate unless there are no other aspects being made to the aspect.

In order to interpret your relationship dynamics the whole chart(S) need to be analyzed to explain the nature of any relationship and in order for me to do so you need to book a reading for that.

I'm sorry I don't have the time to do so.

If the question is simple like " how would my mars in my partners 7th house affect my partner I can answer such a question if I have not already written about it because it's basic energy. Multi aspects, placements etc require analysis.

      Thank you for your understanding:)

  7. There's a constant presence in my life, his Pluto, Mars, and Moon are all in my seventh house, not to mention that his Pluto is super conjunct my Mars and his Moon is super conjunct my eighth house, even though it is technically in the seventh. So, either we're going to have a super sexy and intense relationship, or an abusive one. Oh joy. I don't think he's that kind of guy, but either way, wish me luck.

  8. There is a dude that I'm really close with, his moon, Mars, and Pluto are all in my seventh house, not to mention that his moon is conjunct my eighth and his Pluto is super conjunct my Mars. Either this will end amazing with an intense and sexy relationship, or it will end in black eyes and tears. Let's hope it's the first one, shall we?

    1. 😂 yes I'm hoping for the first one! It need not be bad all things can be avoided now that we know thanks to astrology. Just be nice and sexy. I had Pluto opposite Mars With a love and a Pluto square mars in Our composite from the 8th to 5th.

But our Neptune Moon conjunction kept us sweet, ridiculously sweet. Look for other softer aspects to help out! but it really comes down to staying cool and self control as difficult as it may be. 😘

  9. If I have Saturn, Uranus and Neptune in his 7th house and he is already married or was married, then what does that mean? He cant see me as his partner, because he already has one. Do I affect his marriage somehow?

  10. Haha, all his Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus in my 7th house, no wonder we are comfortable in each other's company although our perspectives are different.
